October Leadership Night 2016

The October Leadership Meeting was held on October 6th and the following events are going on within your Parish. This is a communication to you our parishioners to keep you informed.

FORMATION COMMISSION: We are awaiting feedback from Fr. Marty regarding the "2 minute talk" prior to Masses. This commission is also discussing the idea of Perpetual Adoration for our parish. There is also the possibility of future "Formation as a Family".

WORSHIP COMMISSION: There is discussion of having refresher training for Eucharistic Ministers and Lectors. We need additional altar servers for the 5:00 Mass, whereas servers for the 10:30 Mass are plentiful. Greeters for the Anniversary Mass have been determined and will be contacted. The Worship Commission hopes to meet with Fr. Marty at the November meeting regarding future Children's Liturgy.

ADMINISTRATION COMMISSION: There is ongoing discussion of the church construction project, and it is so far on schedule to be completed by med December. Decision has been made regarding the baby changing stations in the Parish Center restrooms. It has been decided regarding the drainage in the Grotto cannot be resolved at this time, and pumping will continue when there is excessive rainfall. A quote has been received for the boiler project in the Parish Center. Industrial Motors is donating 4 motors.

OUTREACH COMMISSION: All commission members contacted inactive parishioners via telephone to invite to the 100th anniversary mass. The bereavement team headed by Sr. Kathy met with SSJP commission and are determining recent deaths and assigning callers to contact them. 3 requests came in this month from parishioners for assistance, and have been completed or in the process of completion. The marquee sign in front of church has been completed with new Mass times and pastor names.

COMMUNITY COMMISSION: Reservations have been completed for the 100th Anniversary Mass. A history book detailing the past 100 years has been completed and is available. Helpers for the anniversary Mass and dinner at PZAZZ have been finalized.

PASTORAL COUNCIL: The following are your Pastoral Council representatives representing you: Fr. Marty Goetz-Pastor, Fr. Bill Roush-Parochial Vicar, Dave Ehret-Co-Chairperson, Carol Kuntz-Co-Chairperson, Gisela Wilson, Kathy Osinski, Maureen Rowland, Tom Chicken, Len Osinski, Irene Hemerling, Kent Wilson-Parish Assessment Coordinator, Karen Wilson, MaryRae Schnedler, Deacon Bob Glaser.

Please attend one of our meetings which are held the first Thursday of each month in the Parish Center if you have ideas or concerns regarding our Parish. BE ACTIVE!!!
